When Steve joined our team in Fall 2005, he brought us 20 years of experience as part owner and operator of his family's grain farm near DeKalb, IL. Other roles have broadened his experience: He also has worked as Administrative Manager and Production Coordinator for a small manufacturer, gained experience in the construction business, and worked in Monsanto's seed production division. Steve graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agricultural Economics. He's also a graduate of the Illinois Farm Bureau Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow (ALOT) program. Interestingly, our Seasons newsletter of Winter 1998 featured Steve and his wife Lori as an outstanding young farm family in DeKalb County - so we've known each other for a long time. Steve is community-minded, serving as the current President of Habitat for Humanity of DeKalb County and is a Past President of the DeKalb County Soybean Association. Lori and Steve have four children: John, Clark, Russ and Desarae. |
